Reservoir security is paramount in ensuring the protection of the UK’s water supply. First Alert has been involved in the protection of the Critical National Infrastructure since 2004. The flagship product being the industry-leading, CPNI approved, low false-alarm, hatch detection system.
The Security and Emergency Measures Direction (SEMD). Defra’s Secretary of State can give general or specific directions to water companies in the interests of national security. First Alert’s, CPNI approved, hatch-detection system is a solution for one part of the SEMD requirements.
